Minnesota 98, New Jersey 95

Yeeeeey, we've won again! Three wins in last five matches! Who would guess that, especially as these games were against the teams that actually play pretty good basketball. Maybe not the Nets, but Nuggets, Suns and Celtics are really strong teams.
In the game against Nets we had a lousy start of the game, too much TO's in first half, but Big Al once again came up big. He scored 20 of our 38 first half points, and he kept us in the game. Even with a terrific game from Al, we were down by 10 at the half. Second half has started better. Rashad hit a couple of open shots, and got 10pts in 6 mins to lower the deficit to just 4 points. Then we witnessed something that hasn't happened for years, and probably wont happen again... Kidd hit three straight threes. OMG... Then a few FT's by Vince and they were again up by 10 at the end of third. :( Fourth quarter has begun with a 7-2 run for Nets and we found ourselves down by 15, with 9:40 to go. After that miracle has happened again. Green hits(!?) back-to-back threes and we are back in the game. Down 10, with 8mins remaining... Can we turn this on our side? To be honest I haven't believed that could happen... But then our future took over. Crew-Brew hits 8 points and Al adds 5 points in a 13-5 run to lower Nets' lead to 4, but Nets' experience comes to sell some tricks to our youth and with 1:43 to go, we're behind by 7. Two FT's by Telfair and jumper from Carter set the score at 95-87 with 1:19 remaining... Witt calls the timeout and after that a big comeback is to happen. Rashad hits another one 3-pointer and Gomes adds one too. We're 1 down, Nets' with the ball. Carter chokes once again and we have the possesion to to take the lead. McCants misses the jumper but Al is there to take offensive rebound and gets fouled by Richard Jefferson. He hits both FT's and we find ourselves in the lead, could you believe it? First since the start of the game! Nets' had the ball with 11 secs remaining but Jefferson missed jumper and Al sealed it with another pair of FT's. Great, great win, after being down 15 in last quarter, big comeback... We're becoming really dangerous team . ;)
I wan't to add a couple of things that could be interesting. Al marked a new career high with 40pts and is becoming a real beast on the glass. He again had 8 offensive rebound and 18 overall. If he would have some big center to play with, I don't think that anyone could outrebound us. Green is getting some playing time and I hope we are just showcasing him. If he could be more consistent maybe we could get some big man with descent upside at the deadline... The next two games are against the Bulls which are full of problems. With the style we are playing now it's not unreal to expect two wins but even one would be a good result, so we probably wouldn't have the worst record anymore. :D Anyway, it will be great to see how Big Al dominates Big Ben, and maybe hope to see a few minutes for Foye...
